RoadFix
Report road issues with one photo — Gemma 4 classifies, costs, and routes them
What it does
Citizens report potholes, waterlogging/blocked drains, broken speed breakers, faulty traffic signals and damaged road edges with a photo + GPS. Gemma 4 (open-weight multimodal, via Gemini API) classifies the issue, estimates severity and size, a deterministic rate table produces a credible repair cost, duplicates within ~50m merge into one priority ticket (with a pre-submit merge preview), and the ticket is routed to the right department by email. A public Leaflet map with type icons, ×N merge counts, status chips and shareable /report/:id pages creates accountability.
Why it was built
Cities drown in vague pothole complaints.
RoadFix turns one citizen photo into a costed, routed, publicly tracked work order — and turns duplicate reports into a prioritization signal instead of noise.
